No Place Like Hope

A Story of Trauma, A Message of Hope

No Place Like Hope is an engaging keynote presentation for administrators/teachers/students in which Stanley recounts the brutality of growing up in a life of poverty, surviving homelessness, abuse, drug addiction, mental illness, and a felony conviction. Reminding teachers that they do matter, Stanley’s story will encourage, inspire, and transform the way teachers see themselves.

Reader’s Favorite 5 Star Reviewed Book

Dr. Stanley Leone Jr. was born into a rough neighborhood and a horribly dysfunctional family. Growing up in Houston, Stanley

witnessed and experienced poverty and violence from an early age. He quickly learned that adults were either dangerous and unstable or too weak to protect

themselves—and the children in their care.

In high school, Stanley glimpsed another

path through a teacher, one he could reach through education. The possibility of avoiding jail time, an early death, or a life of dysfunction finally seemed real. In No Place like Hope, Stanley movingly recounts how facing his challenges gave him the courage to seize a better life.
